ST. PATRICK PARISH
We are located in the beautiful St. Croix Valley of Western Wisconsin. At St. Patrick Parish we strive to be a vibrant, welcoming faith community whose many members use their time and talents in a variety of ministries reaching out to serve one another and the community at large. We support both a pre K - 8 school and a Faith Formation program that offers education in faith from cradle to grave. Both the School and Faith Formation offices are located at 403 St. Croix Street, Hudson, WI

FUNERAL SERVICES

Thank-you to all who helped organize, volunteered for, our made pledges to our annual walk-a-thon. It was a great success and I enjoyed running along with our seventh graders.
If you notice Fr. Gene’s halo a little shinier these days, it was because last weekend he was on retreat. He will also be gone this weekend and at the end of May as we are helping to cover neighboring parishes while their pastor is on vacation.
Last weekend I mentioned that musician and composer Steve Angrisano will be with us next spring. Please note that the dates of his visit have changed. He will be with us the weekend of May 4th and 5th, and with our school students on Monday, May 6th. Make sure you mark your calendars. Steve has appeared at six World Youth Days, several National Catholic Youth Conferences, and most years at the March for Life Rally. He will be present at our weekend Masses, offer a concert on Saturday evening, and a prayer service Sunday evening.
Remember next Sunday, May 20th, we will celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation at the 11:00 AM Mass. Please keep our Confirmation Candidates in your prayers as they approach this great Sacrament.
Looking ahead, remember, Monday, May 28th is Memorial Day. There will be a 9:00 AM Mass at the cemetery. (I always must add that if it rains, Mass will be at church. However, I have a 15 year streak going of not being rained out on Memorial Day and being able to celebrate Mass at the cemetery.)
Please keep Bishop Fliss, who retired after serving as our Bishop for many years, in your prayers. Bishop fell in his apartment shortly before Easter. Since that time he has experienced some forgetfulness and confusion. Currently he is a patient at Benedictine Health Center in Duluth, MN, and is receiving occupational and physical therapy. He hopes soon to move to an assisted living apartment, which would also be located on the campus of St. Scholastica College in Duluth.
